⇾ The word ‘soulmates’ is supposed to mean that they’re the one. Your other half. Your rock. Yet when you think you find your soulmate, and they’re not, you look again and again. It’s the real world. Soulmates don’t exist, but you found yours. At least, you thought.

• Oh my god it’s been ages. I’m sorry. Also this stuff has mentions of sex. Just letting you know.
“Jungkook,” you whispered, your voice barely heard by yourself.
He smiled at you with his familiar smile you know all too well. “I
knew you’d come back,” he said, making his way towards you. The closer he got,
the more visible the yellow under his dirty blond hair became. You wrapped your
arms around Jungkook in a hug, relieved and beyond happy that Jungkook knew who
you are. “I’m glad I didn’t have to wait long.”
“You knew?” you asked.
“No, I don’t understand anything, but when I saw someone die and
come back to school two weeks later, I had to ask. I only know that I’m not
supposed to interfere. Naturally, they come back. Noona, what happened to you?”
“I’ll tell you everything later. Right now,” you began, smiling
like a crazy person, “let me have this moment.”
You’ve never held on so tight. Held on to a memory of your past
that welcomed you with open arms. “Okay. You’re not mad, are you?” he
whispered, tightening his grip around your waist.
You chuckled. “I’m just happy you’re not mad at me like Jimin is.”
He rubbed your back soothingly. “I’m sorry, Noona.” Jungkook
pushed himself slightly away from you. He looked you in the eyes with a look
conflict, his hair changing to a blue under his dirty blond hair. “We need to
talk about that. Why don’t we go inside?”
It was like that happy bubble you were floating in had popped as
you followed Jungkook inside, up the elevator, and into your home. The bubble
popped so loudly and quickly that it left behind nothing but hurt and
“I—wait—I don’t understand. What do you mean?” you asked him,
taking his hand in yours as you adjusted yourself on the couch to face him more
“I’m sorry, Noona, but it’s true,” he whispered, rubbing his thumb
across the back of your hand.
“Why would he let her come back? Why would he—”
From behind Jungkook your eyes shot towards the window as you
watched Jimin walk by. Your full attention was on that window, words lost at
the tip of your tongue. Jimin appeared again and your heart rate sped. He
stopped in front of the window, eyes trained on the area in front of him where
you knew his front door would be.
